District Support for Parent Engagement

The district shall provide coordination, technical assistance and other support necessary to assist schools in building capacity for strong family engagement to improve student academic achievement and school performance.

Title IX Overview

What is Title IX?

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (20 U.S.C. § 1681) is a federal law that prohibits discrimination based on the sex of students in educational institutions that receive federal financial assistance. 

District Policies

The District prohibits discrimination, against any student on the basis of sex, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking. The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the District’s efforts to comply with Title IX regulations involving students.

Reporting Procedures

A parent or student may report alleged discrimination based on sex, including sexual harassment or gender-based harassment to their campus principal or the District’s Title IX Coordinator. The principal or the Title IX Coordinator will coordinate the procedures to address the allegations.

District Title IX Coordinator

The District designates and authorizes the following person as the Title IX coordinator to be responsible for coordinating the District’s efforts to comply with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, as amended, for students:
