District Goals:
Goal 1
The percentage of 3rd grade students that score Meets grade level or above on STAAR Reading will increase from 42% in June 2024 to 53.0% by June 2029.
The recommended approach is annual targets of 42%, 43%, 46.3%, 49.6%, and 53.0%.
These targets allow for more realistic, manageable increments, building more aggressively toward federal targets while implementing High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM).
Goal 2
The percentage of 3rd grade students that score Meets grade level or above on STAAR Math will increase from 36% in June 2024 to 49.9% by June 2029.
The recommended approach is annual targets set at 36%, 38%, 42%, 46%, and 49.9%.
These targets support realistic progress, allowing for a more aggressive approach to achieving federal targets while implementing High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM).
Goal 3
The percentage of 8th grade students that score Meets grade level or above on STAAR Reading will increase from 49% in June 2024 to 57.2% by June 2029.
The recommended approach sets annual targets at 49%, 50.6%, 52.3%, 53.9%, 55.6%, and 57.2%.
These targets allow for realistic progress, enabling a more aggressive path toward federal targets while implementing High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM).
Goal 4
The percentage of graduates that meet the criteria for CCMR will increase from 92.6% in June 2024 to 94.0% by June 2029.
