We use the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) districtwide so that in any emergency, students and staff know exactly what to do.
This graphic shows the five key actions everyone on campus is trained to follow:
🔒 Hold – Stay in place, clear the halls
🚪 Secure – Lock outside doors
🚨 Lockdown – Locks, lights, out of sight
🚶♂️ Evacuate – Move to a safe location
⚠️ Shelter – Use safety strategies for hazards like weather or chemical spills
👨👩👧👦 Reunification – A safe, organized process to reunite students with families after an emergency
We’re launching this SRP campaign to help students and families feel safe and confident in any situation. With guidance from the Texas School Safety Center, these six clear, consistent directives help students, staff, and first responders respond in an emergency.
By sharing this plan with our parents and community, we’re working to build trust, promote transparency, and create a stronger, safer school environment for every student.
