La Joya Independent School District is committed to providing a quality education for every student in our district. To accomplish this goal we know and understand parental support is critical every step along the way. Everyone gains when school, home, and community collaborate and work for the high academic achievement of our students.

The La Joya Independent School District administration, faculty, support staff, families and community members shall develop, agree upon and distribute to families a written District Family and Community Engagement Policy. The policy will set expectations and establish a framework for quality family involvement participation. This will be achieved as part of the district’s improvement plan process in accordance (20 U.S.S. 6312) with the legal requirements of ESSA Section 1116 (a) (1). This policy will be available to all families of La Joya Independent School District. 

The district shall provide coordination, technical assistance and other support necessary to assist schools in building capacity for strong family involvement to improve student academic achievement and school performance.
