UIL Department

Texas School Ready is a comprehensive preschool teacher training program combining a research-based, state-adopted curriculum with ongoing professional development and progress monitoring tools. The goal of this program is to help children be better prepared for school.

La Joya ISD is currently participating in the TSR Comprehensive Grant Cycle 2017-2019

TSR Comprehensive is implemented in classrooms 48 classrooms within a 50 mile radius of the Lead Agency (La Joya ISD). La Joya ISD has partnered with child care and Head Start teachers and ISD teachers in our surrounding communities to provide TSR Comprehensive services, including training, materials, and coaching (Face-to-Face) to the teachers participating in the project. Preschool teachers enrolled in TSR Comprehensive participate in a comprehensive teacher training program designed to help children be more prepared for kindergarten and beyond.
