La Joya, TX - The La Joya ISD community is shining a little brighter after the district hosted its 2025 Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony to welcome the holiday season!
One of the community’s most cherished holiday traditions, the evening was a merry celebration consisting of spirited student performances, photos with Santa, sweet treats, and, perhaps the most magical part of the evening - snow flurries and a spectacular fireworks display.
Rooted in unity and holiday cheer, the celebration was a success in making spirits bright. From the glowing lights and cheerful music to the sound of families laughing - the joyful sounds of Christmas created an atmosphere that wrapped everyone in a sense of community and connection.
“Moments like this remind us what the holidays are truly about—coming together, lifting each other up, and celebrating the joy we share as one community,” said Annette Lozano, Executive Director of Student, Family & Community Engagement. “Seeing our families gathered here, united in tradition and warmth, is a gift we cherish every year.”
Focused on Community Trust, Unity & Partnership, the annual tree lighting ceremony fulfills Priority 4 of Achieving Excellence Together: 2030. The moment that truly reflected this initiative was when the countdown began. As families raised their voices in unison, the district’s Christmas tree came to life - glowing brightly as a symbol of hope, unity, and the shared traditions that bond La Joya ISD.
The district’s annual tree lighting grows each year, serving as a reminder that the brightest moments come when the community gathers as one. This year’s celebration was filled with joy, laughter, and the unmistakable sense that the Christmas season has officially begun in La Joya ISD.
