La Joya, TX - The Palmview High School Band is marching into the spotlight with pride after being named KRGV’s band of the week - a recognition that celebrates the talent, hard work, and discipline of the Mighty Lobo Band.
The honor highlights the outstanding commitment of our students and instructors who pour countless hours into perfecting each performance, refining their sound, and representing Palmview High School with heart and precision.
“This recognition is more than a title - it reflects our deep-rooted culture of teamwork, artistry, and leadership,” said Jacob Banda, Head Band Director for Palmview High School. “This band embodies what it means to lead with pride, unite as a team, and inspire our campus and community.”
More than a title, being named KRGV’s Band of the Week showcases the musical excellence of the Mighty Lobo Band and the embodiment of Priority Three of Achieving Excellence Together: 2030 - Thriving Students, which focuses on cultivating environments where students are empowered to grow, lead and excel through enriching extracurricular opportunities.
