La Joya, TX – Hosted in partnership with the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO), La Joya ISD recently hosted its annual TACRAO College Fair, bringing together seniors from across the district’s high schools to explore future educational opportunities.
Held at the La Joya High School gymnasium, the much-anticipated event connected students directly with representatives from universities, colleges and technical schools from across Texas and beyond.
Rows of booths, colorful banners and eager conversations filled the space as students gathered information, asked questions and took steps toward postsecondary goals.
“Sucess begins at La Joya ISD and this college fair is a step toward continued success after high school,” said Melinda Flores, Executive Director of College & Career Success for La Joya ISD. “Our main goal for this expo is to have students leave here informed, supported and inspired to pursue their passion.”
The annual fair is a reflection of La Joya ISD’s strategic plan – Achieving Excellence Together: 2030, which prioritizes college and career readiness through its Empowered Graduates initiative. By connecting students with real-world experiences and higher education partners, the district continues to ensure that every learner is prepared for college, career and life beyond graduation.
“The TACRAO College Fair is an essential part of helping our students visualize a plan for their future,” said Flores. “At La Joya ISD, we want for every student to see that higher education is within reach.”
La Joya ISD remains steadfast in its mission to empower students with the knowledge, confidence, and resources needed to make informed decisions about their futures - continuing a legacy of excellence and opportunity for generations to come.
