New Educators Join La Joya ISD

While preparing for a new school year, La Joya ISD leadership is ensuring first-year teachers are equipped to help students succeed.

District leaders proudly welcomed new educators to La Joya ISD with the district’s annual New Teacher Orientation – an all-day event consisting of various sessions where teachers got to connect with leadership, review HR policies and receive essential resources.

“New Teacher Orientation underscores La Joya ISD’s commitment to excellence in teaching and learning,” said Jaimie Miller, Chief of Human Capital & Talent Development for La Joya ISD. “This initiative is so important in ensuring our teachers are supported and receiving what they need from district leadership as they take on the most important task – ensuring the success of our students.”

Held on Thursday, July 31, in the Tabasco Room located within La Joya ISD’s Central Office, the orientation offered an essential introduction to the district’s culture, expectations and resources as educators had the opportunity to engage with district leaders and explore instructional priorities.

The goal of New Teacher Orientation is to provide guidance and support to help these teachers transition smoothly into the classroom.

As the new school year approaches, La Joya ISD is proud to stand behind its newest team members – equipped, inspired and ready to make a difference in the lives of our students and families.
