ADSY SUMMER

This summer, 3,160 students—nearly 29% of all eligible elementary students participated in La Joya ISD’s Additional Days School Year (ADSY) program, and the impact has been truly inspiring!

Designed to provide both academic support and enrichment, the summer program gave students the opportunity to learn, explore, and grow in a fun and supportive environment. With a balance of targeted instruction and engaging hands-on activities, students stayed connected to their learning while building confidence and new skills.

Offered at all elementary campuses, the ADSY program provided Pre-K through 5th-grade students with a daily schedule that included:

  • One hour of math instruction

  • One hour of literacy instruction

  • Two hours of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) enrichment

Our Bilingual PK1 and Kindergarten students also benefited from a specialized focus on language development and early literacy skills, preparing them for a strong start in Kindergarten and Grade 1.

In addition, the Elementary Texas ACE program offered students in Grades K–5 opportunities for continued growth through hands-on learning experiences aligned to the school curriculum. These interactive activities not only supported academic success but also encouraged leadership, creativity, and personal development.

We’re proud of our students, teachers, and staff who made this summer a meaningful step forward in every child’s educational journey. Here's to a season of learning, growing, and thriving together!
