La Joya, TX - As La Joya ISD continues its efforts to improve student transportation, district leaders are inviting parents, staff, and community members to play an active role in shaping the future of the system through a newly launched transportation survey.
The survey, open to the public through Friday, April 24, is part of the district’s ongoing transportation overhaul aimed at creating a safer, more efficient, and more reliable experience for students and families. By gathering direct feedback from the community, La Joya ISD seeks to better understand the needs, concerns, and priorities of those it serves.
“This is about building a transportation system that works for our entire community,” said Jose Alaniz, Director of Transportation for La Joya ISD. “We want to hear directly from our families so we can make informed, thoughtful decisions that improve routes, increase efficiency, and ensure dependable service for our students.”
Participants are encouraged to scan the QR code available on district platforms, or by clicking here, to complete the survey and share their input. Feedback collected will help guide key decisions related to route optimization, service reliability, and overall system improvements as the district prepares for the 2026–2027 school year.
This initiative reflects La Joya ISD’s commitment to Achieving Excellence Together: 2030, particularly Priority 4: Community Trust, Unity & Partnership, by fostering transparent communication and meaningful engagement with stakeholders.
La Joya ISD encourages all families and community members to participate and help shape a transportation system that supports student success and meets the evolving needs of the district.
Beyond the survey, parents are welcome to share questions and concerns directly to La Joya ISD’s Transportation Department by emailing transportation@lajoyaisd.net or calling 956-323-2307.
