November is packed with activities, special events, and opportunities to celebrate learning and community! 🎉 From Professional Learning Day and STEM/STEAM Day to honoring Veterans Day and participating in American Education Week, there’s something for everyone. Attention Tabasco parents: Reminder that this Friday there are no classes for students. Tomorrow, Oct. 31, we will have our Good Life Celebration along with various activities planned. Students can bring their Halloween bucket or bag for some on-campus Trick or Treating!

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month! Thank you to our Tabasco students for adorning our entryway with a beautiful collaborative work of art, and thank you to our dyslexia specialist J. Great job bringing that Coyote Homecoming energy! Thank you to the spirited students from our 2023-2024 Cheerleaders and Mini Jewelettes for showcasing Tabasco Pride at the La Joya ISD Homecoming Parade as we continue to seek out extra-curricular sponsors for these teams! 🏅🎉 BIG NEWS at Tabasco Elementary! 🎉🏅 Coach Erick Hernandez took the leap and applied for the Project Fit America grant last year, and guess what? WE WON! 🙌🥳 Thanks to this incredible national charity, our school now has brand-new, state-of-the-art fitness equipment! 💪🏃‍♀️ Over the summer, our awesome "Fit Pit" was constructed, and this year, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are ready to level up their fitness! 🏋️‍♂️ From the Pole Climb to the Hooping Challenge, and so much more, these activities are sure to get our students moving, learning, and having FUN! 🎯💥 A huge shoutout to the Valley Baptist Legacy Foundation for funding this grant and helping our community stay active and healthy! 💙💛 We can't wait to see our students soar! 🚀

Our first students to find the Golden Ticket in our chocolate sale have come forward! Congratulations to first-grader Kaidence Brantley, fourth-grader Katalina Villarreal, first-grader Arcangel Arriaga, and third-grader Adonis Rodriguez for finding the tickets, in that order!
