La Joya ISD will be taking a little break to observe spring break from March 11-15. Classes will resume their normal schedule on Monday, March 18. Administrative offices and all campuses will be closed Monday through Friday, March 11-15. Congratulations to our LDZ Jr. Jewelettes for their outstanding performance at the Showtime International Competition this past Saturday in San Marcos, Texas. These talented dancers won 12 awards in the following categories: Officer Hip-Hop routine, Team Jazz, Team Contemporary, Officer Contemporary, Sweepstakes, and Judges' awards for receiving 90s and above in all routines. We are very proud of you. The following talented dancers, soloist Alexis Ramirez and Alyssa Martinez received a division one medal and Alexis Ramirez was awarded a first runner up soloist trophy in the Jr. Division.
