Our primary vision is to Educate and Facilitate to our lifelong learners that will imprint the world.
The Library Services and Instructional Resources and Print Shop Department at La Joya I.S.D is dedicated to supporting
our students, schools and community with resources that provide educational information, innovation, and a diversity of learning opportunities to support college, career and workforce readiness.
In collaboration with Parents, Teachers,
Curriculum Coordinators, Technology Specialists and Administrators, our department work in collaboration to
meet the educational needs of every student.
Our libraries provide a flexible and open-access learning environment that accommodates a
diverse collection of print and electronic resources.
Instruction takes the form based on Texas Library Standards that Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills that support the developing of information literacy skills with application in curriculum objectives.
MackinVia is a Digital Library curated high-quality instructional resources that our district provides
through Region One Cooperative. It is to be used by our students, parents and our La Joya ISD community with
a task of providing a service that will develop information and digital literacy skills.
It also includes more than 10,000 ebooks.
