Palmview High School Karina Guerra wins the Washington Congressional Art Competition

Each spring, a nationwide high school arts competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives.  The Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation. Congressman Henry Cuellar is honored to be a part of this nationwide competition, which provides the opportunity to showcase the talents of creative high school students in the 28th District of Texas.

Join us in congratulating our Palmview High School Art Student Karina Guerra for her artworkAlter Egowhich competed for and won the 28thDistrict of Texas Washington Congressional Art Competition. 

Karina will attend the Congressional Art Competition Reception in Washington, D.C. this summer and the Congressional Institute will coordinate a tour of the Capitol for Karina and a guest.  Round-trip air travel will be provided by Southwest Airlines. Karina’s artwork will be on display at the Cannon Tunnel to the U.S. Capitol for an entire year.

We are honored to celebratea student whose talent is as Big as the Nation.
