The National Procurement Institute has awarded La Joya ISD the prestigious Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) award which recognizes organizational excellence in procurement. The AEP award is earned by public and non-profit organizations that obtain a high application score based on standardized criteria. AEP award criteria are designed to measure state of the art in best practices, such as innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity and leadership of the procurement function. The AEP program encourages the development of excellence as well as continued organizational improvement to earn the award annually.
Here at La Joya ISD, it is evident that the Purchasing & Warehouse Operations Department has built on their committed tradition to be compliant with stringent organization regulations set by the state and federal government agencies. This notable accolade affirms the district’s fiscal responsibility to our community.
“As a team, we strive to bring pride to La Joya ISD through high operational procurement standards. Garnering this prestigious award, represents our district’s commitment to demonstrated public procurement excellence,” said Sylvia G. Zapata, La Joya ISD Executive Director of Purchasing & Warehouse Operations.
