No growing economy is complete without a proper public service sector. The need for teachers, law enforcement agents, doctors, and city government could not be overstated. In this academy, La Joya ISD focuses on providing students with the opportunities and coursework to explore the wide range of pathways they can choose for a career in Public Service.
This academy includes pathways related to health science occupations, education & training, law enforcement, culinary arts, and hospitality. And with the inception of the new UTRGV Medical School, getting a head start in the medical field will give our students the advantage and offer easier transition into a growing job market.
