La Joya ISD Serves up a Great Volleyball Tournament La Joya ISD Public Information Department March 01, 2010
Congratulations to Memorial Middle School for being crowned the “Grand Champion”
at La Joya ISD’s annual volleyball tournament held February 25-27 at
Juarez-Lincoln High School.
After more than a dozen teams took to the court, Memorial Middle School came
away with bragging rights for one year.
This year, elementary schools played in one bracket, and secondary and district
department staff played in another. The winner of each respective bracket then
faced off against each other.
In the elementary division, Cavazos Elementary received 1st place; Camarena
Elementary, 2nd place; and Zapata Elementary, 3rd place.
In the secondary division, Memorial Middle School received 1st place;
Transportation Department, 2nd place, and Student Services, 3rd place.
The volleyball tournament was hosted by the Human Resources Department.
