Early Childhood Intervention (ECI)
Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) serves children, birth to age 3, with disabilities or delays. ECI teaches families how to help their children reach their potential through education and therapy services. There are 2 programs that serve the children in the Rio Grande Valley:

Each Texas school district is responsible for identifying, locating and evaluating all children who are in need of special education and related services who reside within the school district boundaries. If you suspect that your child has a disability and is within the ages of birth through 21, please contact the following agencies regarding the referral process for identification:
