Special Education is in place to provide support services, programs, specialized placements or environments to ensure that all students’ educational needs are provided for. Special Education services are provided to qualifying students at no cost to parents. The overall goal for the Special Education department is to improve student achievement by providing increased access to the educational environment and the right to be educated with non-disabled peers (inclusion approach) as much as possible.
