The new Statewide Service Delivery Plan identifies migrant early childhood and primary students as needing to be reading at grade level by the end of first grade. Three year old migrant students that are currently served by the migrant program in their homes for 45 minutes per week will now be served by attending school on a full day basis. There will be five classrooms throughout the school district in a multi-age setting of three and four year old migrant students. The sites are determined by the elementary with the least overall enrollment that feeds into a middle school. These site are: Sam Fordyce Elementary, Leo J. Leo Elementary, Diaz-Villarreal Elementary, Kika de la Garza Elementary and Patricio Perez Elementary. For further information, please contact the migrant office at 580-5434.
