La Joya ISD encourages community members and businesses to come together and participate in The Great Kindness Challenge, January 22-26, 2018. The Great Kindness Challenge is a positive, proactive bullying prevention initiative, reaching millions of students during the last full week of January every year.
In order to create a consistent, positive message throughout our school and community, La Joya ISD is implementing this initiative along with local businesses in an effort to prevent bullying in our community.
Social Media: as you start to gear up for The Great Kindness Challenge week, make certain to use our certified hashtags to share on social media: #greatkindnesschallenge, #kindcoins and #kindnessmatters. Use all three! And, we will be able to share your fun on our social media platforms as well. You may also upload flyer to your campus social media pages.
The Great Kindness Challenge was created by Kids for Peace to provide schools a tool for creating a positive school environment. In 2017, 10,493,866 students participated and performed over half a billion acts of kindness nationwide.
