Narciso Solis grew up in Sullivan City, Texas and attended La Joya ISD until his graduation in 1991 at La Joya High School. Upon completing high school, Mr. Solis enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. and proudly served his country from 1991 to 1995. In addition to his heroic service, Mr. Solis also studied at South Texas Community College and the University of Texas-Pan American focusing on Criminal Justice.
Mr. Solis has always had a passion to serve his community; he became a police officer at the Palmview Police Department in 1998, and also protected the community at the Hidalgo Police Department. Currently, Mr. Solis is a U.S. Border Patrol agent and has been proudly protecting our borders since 2003.
When asked why he chose to serve on the school board, Mr. Solis replied, “I want to be a role model for my kids and to see that the students of La Joya ISD get the best education they can by making sure the school has everything need for that to happen.” Mr. Solis is married to Esmeralda H. Solis and is a proud father to Narciso Jr. and Sebastian. |
