Mr. Juan “JJ” Pena was born on August 22, 1979 in Mcallen, Texas to Juan and Adela Pena. He grew up in Palmview and attended La Joya ISD until his high school graduation in 1997.
Upon completing his high school diploma, Mr. Pena attended South Texas Community College and the University of Texas-Pan American where he obtained a Bachelors degree in Finance and in addition, obtained his real estate license.
Currently, Mr. Pena is a self-employed real estate broker and developer. When asked why he wanted to serve on the school board, Mr. Pena replied, “I chose to serve on the school board as a way of giving back to my community and the district that I love. My goal as a board member is to strive for the best possible education and resources for the students of La Joya ISD. “
Mr. Pena is married to Eira Melissa Pena and is a proud father of 4 year old Carolina, who attends Cavazos Elem. |
