The La Joya Independent School District is taking a new, and dynamic approach in promoting the many great things happening within the district. Often times the public is misinformed which is why La Joya ISD has organized a schools fair known as “Why La Joya ISD?”

This, open-to-all free event, will be taking place this coming Saturday, February 6th from 9 – 3:30 PM at the Jimmy Carter Building in the city of La Joya.

Here, all LJISD secondary schools will play host to students and parents of La Joya ISD and those of our neighboring school districts, showcasing clubs, courses, and programs available at each of the campuses. Teachers, principals, administrators, and students from every middle school, high school, and early college, will be on hand ready to meet attendees and available to answer any questions.

As an open enrollment school district, La Joya ISD is extending an invitation to anyone from the area to come learn, and experience, all the educational opportunities LJISD is offering. From traditional schools, to early colleges, and career-specific academies, students enrolled at La Joya ISD can get an early start on their future and find their educational pathway.

Visitors can also expect to see student performances and exhibits, information on dual enrollment and AP courses, food, fun, door prizes, and a whole lot more!

La Joya ISD believes students should have choices for the best educational experience, and this district offers plenty of options to meet the needs of every student.
